Design Process
Our Designer Fleur Elkerton and Assistant Designer Billy Parker have been cracking on with design for the play - here's a glimpse of what they've been getting up to.
Lots of focus on texture and materials, the inspiration is mainly Renaissance, but with a Club Kid twist, with funky colours and freedom of expression. The mix of the three time periods we're taking as inspiration (Ancient Athens, Renaissance England and 90s London) give us scope to produce wildly fanciful and abstract costume, a central element of original Aristophanic comedy.
